New Student Residence Hall Move-In, which will kick-off the broader event series called ‘Welcome Weekend’, will officially commence Friday morning, August 11th. Certain time frames are assigned to each residence hall for move-in purposes:
Prichard and Morrow Hall from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
University Terrace from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Bryant Place (Students with last names A-L) from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Bryant Place (Students with last names M-Z) from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Pence Hall from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
While the move-in process is a strategic one, we will make every effort to see that it’s enjoyable too! In fact, hoards of volunteers will be on-hand Friday morning (other move-in times are an exception) to help ease the burden of toting in all your belongings. These helpful volunteers are your peers – current students who want to see that you have a great experience and transition, just like their own.
All registrants should pay close attention to the screen after submitting the online RSVP form, as an automatic on-screen e-confirmation will appear, outlining details for Move-In and for the broader Welcome Weekend event. Please review that confirmation thoroughly and be sure to access the housing system (by logging into myCampus and clicking on the house icon) one last time before departing for move-in in order to confirm your finalized room assignment. NOTE: If you have are traveling a significant distance in order to move-in and would like to learn more about move-in alternatives, please contact us at: Retention@fairmontstate.edu.
