Once the Office of Disability Services has verified a student’s disability(ies) with the proper documentation, an accommodation letter may be provided to the student to give to professors explaining the appropriate accommodations. The student may choose to use all, some, or none of the approved accommodations in each class. A new accommodation letter should be requested prior to the beginning of each semester. A student must provide his or her professors with a copy of their accommodation letter each semester in order to receive accommodations. Professors are under no obligation to provide academic accommodations until they receive an accommodation letter. Students who encounter problems regarding accommodations are asked to notify the Office of Disability Services immediately.
