Library Resources for Off Campus Students

Are you a high school student enrolled in a dual credit course? Maybe you are an adult enrolled in a Pierpont Community & Technical College program or Fairmont State University undergraduate or graduate course offered at an off-campus site.

What you may not know is that the Libraries at Fairmont can help you by delivering books and videos directly to your home if you live outside Marion or Harrison counties. Other services available through the Libraries at Fairmont State to assist off-campus students include AskALibrarian, a means of communicating with a librarian via e-mail.

Director of Library Services Thelma Hutchins said that staff at the Ruth Ann Musick Library, which is the main campus library, will package and mail books and videos directly to a student’s home free of charge. The student is responsible for the cost of returning the books to the library if returning the materials in person is not an option.

The Libraries at Fairmont State web site is accessible through the FSU home page or by visiting http://library.fairmontstate.edu.
