Fairmont State to announce presidential recommendation—May 10

Fairmont State University’s Board of Governors met yesterday, April 20, for their regularly scheduled meeting. After exiting a brief executive session, the Board voted to hold a special meeting on May 10 at 1 p.m., where they will announce their recommendation for President.

Four finalists, Rocco Fucillo, Bill Phillips, Michael Davis and Rosemary Thomas were on campus April 17 – 19 to meet with campus and community constituents and the BOG.

 The results from the 2022 audit were highlighted by the University’s independent auditing firm, Suttle and Stalnaker, during Thursday’s Board of Governors meeting. The findings presented demonstrated the University concluded its fiscal year in strong financial standing for the fifth consecutive year. 

Fairmont State BOG approves University’s Presidential Search Committee

The Fairmont State University Board of Governor’s met on Thursday, September 15, approving the slate of members presented to serve on the University’s Presidential Search Committee. 

The Presidential Search Committee will be chaired by board members Jennifer Kinty and Kevin Rogers. Fairmont State University Faculty Senate President, Charles Shields, will also tri-chair the committee.

Fairmont State University Board of Governors acknowledge 2022 enrollment efforts

Members of the Fairmont State University Board of Governors and Executive Leadership team convened in the Falcon Center for a full Board meeting on Thursday, August 18. 

During the meeting, Vice President for Student Success, Ken Fettig, shared preliminary enrollment data for the fall semester. Fettig reported the University has experienced significant growth in first-time freshmen, crediting the work of the Admissions team throughout the 2022 enrollment cycle.

Fairmont State University Board of Governors approves new leadership and FY budgets

The Fairmont State University Board of Governors convened on Thursday, July 7 with Board members and the executive leadership team joining both in the Falcon Center and virtually.

During the meeting, the Board approved new leadership for the upcoming year to include Chairman, Rusty Hutson, Vice-Chairman, David Goldberg, and Secretary, Jason Pizatella, to serve in officer roles through June 30, 2023.

Kinty Appointed to Serve on Fairmont State University Board of Governors

Fairmont State alumna, Jennifer Kinty, has been appointed to serve on the University’s Board of Governors through June 30, 2025. Kinty has longstanding ties with the University, and previously served as the Fairmont State Foundation Board of Directors Chairwoman.

Fairmont State University Board of Governors Convenes In-Person
