Dr. Robin K. Payne, Associate Professor of History, has been named Associate Director of the Honors Program, according to Dr. Richard C. Harvey, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  Next June, Dr. Payne will become the Director of the Honors Program.

Students, faculty, and staff will be in the Capitol to talk about everything Fairmont State has to offer. Student organizations will be representing what students can be a part of outside of the classroom as well as athletics.

Fairmont State donates a record $31,541 to United Way campaign

Fairmont State University has raised a record $31,541 through the annual United Way of Marion and Taylor Counties campaign making it the largest campaign in Fairmont State’s 40-year campaign history.

The 2020 campaign in total raised $503,475 to help the local communities. The University was given the top honor of the event with the “Best of the Best” Award and is the second largest contributor to the local United Way.

Future Falcons have $500 scholarship opportunity at Soar Awards

Fairmont State University will be providing $500 scholarships to hundreds of students across the state during the Third Annual Soar Awards. 

Events will be held in Fairmont, St. Albans, Parkersburg, Oak Hill, Inwood, and Wheeling. The scholarships will aid in attending Fairmont State even more affordable and serves as a reminder of the Unviersity’s dedication to student success.
