Fairmont State University invites new students to attend upcoming orientation sessions

Fairmont State University prepares to welcome first-time freshmen and transfer students to campus for orientation. Over the summer, new students will have to opportunity to attend one of several orientation sessions. Some orientation sessions will be open to students of any major, but college-specific orientation sessions will take place also be available for those interested.

Fairmont State University Board of Governors acknowledge 2022 enrollment efforts

Members of the Fairmont State University Board of Governors and Executive Leadership team convened in the Falcon Center for a full Board meeting on Thursday, August 18. 

During the meeting, Vice President for Student Success, Ken Fettig, shared preliminary enrollment data for the fall semester. Fettig reported the University has experienced significant growth in first-time freshmen, crediting the work of the Admissions team throughout the 2022 enrollment cycle.

Fairmont State University extends Fall 2022 application deadline through August 12

Fairmont State University has extended its Fall 2022 application deadline, allowing prospective students to be admitted to the University through Friday, August 12.

The University’s online application closed on August 4, prior to the first day of classes on Monday, August 8. However, prospective students may apply in-person with on-the-spot admission.

Fairmont State University to welcome incoming students during orientation events

Fairmont State University will provide several opportunities for incoming freshmen and transfer students to attend on-campus orientation at a Welcome Wednesday or weekend session, in addition to virtual orientations prior to the fall 2022 semester.

During the on-campus sessions, students will tour campus and residence halls, obtain their student ID cards, meet with advisors to schedule courses for the fall semester and more.
