Class of 2021 Graduate Profile: Aaliyah Williams

As the president of Iota Phi, Fairmont State University’s Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, senior Aaliyah Williams has dedicated herself to a mission of service and philanthropy. And for Williams, a Fairmont native, that service is extended to not only her Falcon Family, but also the very city she calls home.  

“Making an impact in the city that I’m from has been exciting and it warms my heart,” she said.

As Black History Month came to an end, Fairmont State University held a week long celebration including a keynote speech from Dr. Amena Anderson and a living “wax museum” by the Black Student Union. 

BSU First to Support Community Engagement by Making Their Mark

When it was time for the first home FSU football game, Black Student Union members wanted to be the first make their mark for the Community Engagement Initiative. In fact, “Make Your Mark” is the theme this year for the student organization.
