Kestrel is excited to announce Best American Essay nominees: K. Uwe Dunn for “Fox News with Lou” and Gabriel Sage for “In Full Detail.”

We excited to announce a new feature to our home page. Each month we will showcase a Kestrel contributor's work under a special Featured Contributors tab at the top of the home page. Our first featured contributor is Sara Moore Wagner.

Wagner is the recipient of a 2019 Sustainable Arts Foundation award, and the author of the chapbooks Tumbling After (forthcoming from Red Bird Chapbooks 2021) and Hooked Through (2017). Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in many journals including Beloit Poetry Journal, Rhino, Third Coast, Poet Lore, and Waxwing, among others.
