Breakout Session Notes from Conference 2008

For each goal, the breakout notes are listed by breakout Table number. If the comments weren’t typed after a particular breakout question, we put them in the General Comments section. That includes general comments from the end of the breakout questions and also the comments from the top of the note-taking document that were supposed to pertain to the timelines.

Additional feedback and comments are welcome. If you feel comfortable and want to do so, you are welcome to add your comments directly in the wiki. Please use the Talk page associated with the breakout notes (click the discussion tab to access this page.) Alternatively, you can send comments to Erica Harvey (

About the Conference

The purpose of the annual Strategic Planning Stakeholders Conference is to collect feedback from internal and external stakeholders on progress made during the past year and plans for the coming year. We have tried to target the morning session toward goals that would be of particular interest to external stakeholders and the afternoon session toward goals that would be of particular interest to internal stakeholders. All are encouraged to stay for the entire day.

This year’s Stakeholders Conference will focus on changes needed to move each Goal forward in the coming year. During breakout sessions, stakeholders will be asked to provide:

  • Feedback on resource allocations when we have more requests than we can support at once
  • Feedback on the overall direction - are we meeting the spirit of the goal with the action steps being taken?
  • Brainstorming on specific questions identified by people working on each Goal.
  • Feedback on year 3 timelines proposed by Implementation and Audit groups
  • Suggestions for improving measurability of action steps.
