Students in the Rock Climbing class practice basic skills on campus under the instruction of Jan Kiger, the Program Coordinator for the Fairmont State University Outdoor Recreation Leadership minor.
Approximately 20 students are enrolled in two rock climbing classes for the Spring 2014 semester.
Rock Climbing is offered in the Spring of each year and is an 8 week course. Students learn basic skills on campus, and at the end of the semester they go climbing and rappelling in Coopers Rock State Forest.
Outdoor Recreation Leadership is a program within the Fairmont State University School of Education, Health and Human Performance.
