CMP Offers Summer Activities

The Fairmont State Community Music Program has a range of activities available during the summer months.

Piano Camp: June 19-23 for ages 6 and older, held in Wallman Hall, School of Fine Arts. Camp fees are $88.00 plus an $8.00 book fee for campers ages 6-8 with no experience. Camp fees are $108.00 for the week for campers ages 8 and older who have had at least one year of experience - beginner to advanced. Call (304) 366-3758 for registration information.

Born to Entertain Voice and Movement Choir and Class: The class begins the second week of June, with the rest of the schedule to be announced, for ages 5-12. The class includes a performance evening. The theme is "Patriotic Salute to the USA." The cost is $145.00, plus possibly the cost of a practice CD. Call (304) 366-3758 for information.

West Virginia Youth Orchestra and Festival of Chamber Orchestras: June 12-16 for ages ninth grade through high school. Call (304) 367-4169 or (304) 291-8277 for more information.

Private Lessons: These are offered throughout summer term for all instruments including voice, piano and guitar. For information about scheduling, payment, etc., call (304) 366-3758.
