Auditions are planned for the Fairmont State University Town & Gown Summer Theatre production of Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun,” which will be presented in July at Prickett’s Fort State Park.

Auditions are planned for the Fairmont State University Town & Gown production of “A Grand Night for Singing.” Auditions will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. May 2 and 3 in Room 314 of Wallman Hall with the possibility of a call-back on May 4.

The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts and Department of Language and Literature present the American Shakespeare Center’s “Restless Ecstasy Tour” for a week of Elizabethan lyricism, love and oh-so-bitter woe.

The Fairmont State University Masquers will perform Bertolt Brecht’s The Good Woman of Setzuan” for six performances in February and March. Performance dates and times are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 26, 2 p.m. Feb. 27 and 7:30 p.m. on March 10, 11 and 12 in the Wallman Hall Theatre on the FSU main campus. Two upcoming performances of the play “Kindertransport,” one in Fairmont and one in Charleston, will help showcase the talent of Fairmont State University students to a statewide audience.

The Wallman Hall stage will welcome some beloved cartoon characters in January. The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts Town & Gown Youth Company presents “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 and 22, at 2 p.m. Jan. 23 and at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27, 28 and 29.

The Fairmont State University Town & Gown Youth Company is planning two dates for auditions for its upcoming production of "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown."

The Fairmont State University Masquers theatre group will commence the 2010-2011 academic year with a production of "Kindertransport," a play by Diane Samuels, which portrays the life of a German-Jewish refugee child in England during and after World War II. This production of "Kindertransport" will be under the direction of Jeffrey Ingman.

A major renovation project announced today will upgrade the Pricketts Fort Amphitheater, enhancing its availability and accessibility as a venue for outdoor community events.
