Spring Commencement

Fairmont State honored spring graduates during the University’s 153^rd Commencement in the Feaster Center. The University celebrated the achievements of its newest alumni from each of its five colleges during ceremonies taking place throughout the weekend, including two special student athlete ceremonies and Fairmont State Alumni Golden Jubilee Celebration for the Class of 1972.

Fairmont State University will honor graduates during the University’s 153^rd Commencement in the Feaster Center. A special student athlete ceremony and Fairmont State Alumni Golden Jubilee Celebration for the Class of 1972 will take place on Friday, April 29, followed by five separate ceremonies to honor graduates from each college Saturday, April 30 – Sunday, May 1.

Fairmont State University will honor graduates during the University’s 153^rd Commencement to take place Friday, April 29 – Sunday, May 1 in the Feaster Center. The University will welcome Fairmont State Foundation President, Gary K. Bennett, West Virginia Governor, Jim Justice, Assistant Adjutant General and Special Assistant to the Director of the Air National Guard for Diversity and Inclusion, Brigadier General Christopher S.

Fairmont State will honor spring graduates during the University’s 153^rd Commencement taking place Friday, April 29 – Sunday, May 1 in the Feaster Center.

The University will hold five separate ceremonies to honor graduates from each college, in addition to a special student athlete ceremony and Fairmont State Alumni Golden Jubilee Celebration for the Class of 1972. Spring Commencement ceremonies will be open to all guests and tickets will not be issued for entry.

Nearly 400 students will participate in the six ceremonies taking place throughout the weekend during Fairmont State University’s 152nd Commencement in the Feaster Center. The University will honor graduates at a special student athlete Commencement on Friday, April 23, while each of the University’s schools and colleges will celebrate separately at ceremonies taking place Saturday, April 24 – Sunday, April 25. Fairmont State University will honor graduates during Spring Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University will hold separate in-person ceremonies for each college or school at the Duvall-Rosier Field.

More than 570 graduates will be celebrated during the 150th Commencement ceremonies for Fairmont State University on Saturday, May 11, in the Feaster Center. Both ceremonies will include the Inauguration of President Mirta M. Martin. 

Fairmont State University’s 149^th Commencement celebrated more than 900 students receiving graduate, undergraduate and associate degrees during historic double ceremonies. Dr. Stephen B. Jones served as the Commencement speaker.

More than 350 students will participate in the 149th Commencement ceremonies for Fairmont State University on Saturday, May 12, in the Feaster Center. For the first time in recent history two ceremonies will be held.

Graduates in the college of liberal arts including master of science; school of nursing; school of fine arts; and regents bachelor of arts will participate in the morning ceremony which begins at 10 a.m.

About 350 students will participate in Spring Commencement for Fairmont State University at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Feaster Center. Video from the ceremony will be streamed live at www.fairmontstate.edu/live.
