Student to Present Graduate Piano Recital

Fairmont State University graduate student Rayme Pullen will give her Graduate Piano Recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in Wallman Hall Room 229. Pullen studied piano with Professor John Morrison in School of Fine Arts Department of Music.

For her recital, Pullen will perform “Sonata in D, Kp. 478” by D. Scarlatti (1685-1757), “Papillons, Opus 2” by Schumann (1810-1856), “Ballade in G-Minor, Opus 23” by Chopin (1810-1849) and “Sonata No. 3, Opus 28” by Prokofieff (1891-1953).

FSU Participates in Jayenne Elementary Dr. Seuss Day

Faculty members from Fairmont State University’s School of Education, Health and Human Performance and the Department of Athletics joined Jayenne Elementary School for its celebration of Dr. Seuss Day on March 6. The visitors read a Dr. Seuss book to a class at the school. Jayenne Elementary School is a member of the FSU Professional Development Schools Partnership. Campus Lights Blue for World Autism Awareness Day

During the month of April, the lights on the main campus Fairmont State University turn blue as part of the national Light It Up Blue world autism awareness campaign sponsored by Autism Speaks. April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day.

The idea originated from FSU student Corey Cleavenger in 2012.
