A partnership at Fairmont State University that began a decade ago will host a “Showcase of Best Practices” event Thursday, April 28, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Bridgeport Conference Center.
A partnership at Fairmont State University that began with three schools in Marion County expanded to include 40 schools in six counties and continues to grow. The Professional Development Schools (PDS) Partnership today includes schools in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Taylor and Wetzel counties.
“The PDS Partnership enables a truly collaborative relationship between the public schools and Fairmont State that benefits each partner and directly impacts education throughout this region,” said Dr. Maria Rose, FSU President.
A partnership between Fairmont State University and Marion County Schools has brought two public school teachers to campus while providing new opportunities for graduate students.
Through the Professional Development School (PDS) Partnership originated in the School of Education, Health and Human Performance, two area classrooms at Fairview Middle and Whitehall Elementary benefited from firsts.
