Fairmont State University’s outstanding faculty members were honored on Wednesday, April 23, during the Recognition of Faculty Achievement for their exemplary efforts throughout the 2013-2014 academic year. The Faculty Achievement Photo Gallery 2014 includes highlights of the event.

A total of 1,125 students have been named to the Dean’s List at Fairmont State University after completing the fall 2013 semester.

About 150 students will participate in Winter Commencement for Fairmont State University at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Feaster Center. A reception in the Falcon Center will immediately follow the ceremony.

A total of 1,053 students were named to the Dean’s List at Fairmont State University after completing the spring 2013 semester.

As part of the Fairmont State University Presidential Lecture Series, Dr. Elizabeth Savage, Professor of English, will present “ ‘A Careful Disorderliness Is the True Method’: Reading, not Knowing, ‘Moby-Dick.' "

“Fairmont State truly is set apart by this tremendous faculty. While we can tout an excellent faculty-to-student ratio, as compared to larger institutions, that statistic only becomes meaningful when we consider the quality of our faculty,” said FSU President Maria Rose.
