Fairmont State University will host the second annual Order of La Sila scholarship dinner on Sunday, April 28. At this year’s event, U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin III will be the second person inducted as a “Tall Pine” into the Order of La Sila.
By enjoying hot apple cider by a campfire, browsing a silent auction, sharing a meal with friends and dancing to music by a local band, those who attend the second annual Blue Jean Ball will be assisting Fairmont State University students.
A night of fun, food and friends is planned for Saturday, April 14, at the Night at the Races derby-style party. Hosted by the Office of Institutional Advancement, the event begins at 4 p.m. with a heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception, silent auction, hat contest and entertainment by the FSU Jazz Band at the Falcon Center on the FSU main campus.
