The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts, in partnership with the West Virginia University School of Art and Design, will host its annual Iron Pour, “Sputnik’s Landing,” on Friday, April 8.
The event, which is open to the public, will take place at noon April 8 behind Duvall-Rosier field on the FSU campus.
Fairmont State University and West Virginia University students will participate in the second annual Fall 2014 Iron Pour, hosted by the WVU School of Art and Design.
Fairmont State sculpture students, technology students and faculty members, as well as students and faculty from regional universities, will collaborate for the event and utilize molten metal to create custom-made metal artworks.
Students in the Fairmont State School of Fine Arts Foundry and Sculpture Program participated with sculpture students and faculty from West Virginia University and Shepherd University in an iron pour at FSU.
Sculpture students will heat things up at Fairmont State University on Friday, March 28.
