During the Faculty Recognition event on April 24, Dr. Francene Kirk, Associate Professor of Communication and Fine Arts in the School of Fine Arts, was awarded the 2013 Abelina Suarez Professorship.

As part of the Fairmont State University Presidential Lecture Series, Connie S. Moore, APRN, BC, MSN, Abelina Suarez Professor of Nursing, Senior Level, will present “Simulation as a Teaching Strategy for Nursing Education.”

The end of the academic year is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of the students and faculty of Fairmont State University.

When you walk through the door of the Simulation Center for the School of Nursing and Allied Health Administration, you feel like you’ve stepped off of a college campus and into an interactive clinical setting. The initiative to develop this lab, which currently has four human patient simulators and a new childbirth simulator, was headed by Connie Moore, Associate Professor/Senior of Nursing.
