With great community support, the Community Grand Opening and Open House for the new Chick-fil-A dining option at Fairmont State was a great success.
While the community was welcomed to visit and dine at the first full-service Chick-fil-A in Fairmont, they were also able to enjoy a free ice cream buffet, a bounce house, games for children and an open gym.
Freddie the Falcon as well as the Chick-fil-A Cow were there to interact with the community and take pictures.
As Fairmont State University has been working to expand dining options for students, a ribbon cutting and grand opening was held for Chick-fil-A today.
“This means the opportunity to bring together our Fairmont State University students, faculty and staff. The reaction from students has been overwhelming,” President Dr. Mirta Martin said. “I believe we had a record breaking first day of operation last Thursday.”
With a goal of broadening student dining experiences for residential and commuter students, Fairmont State University has awarded Aladdin a five-year contract for food and beverage services with the option of five additional one-year contract renewals.
