FAIRMONT STATE CAREER FAIR PLANNED FOR FEB. 13 IN FALCON CENTER

Fairmont State University will host its 2018 Career Fair on Tuesday, February 13th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Falcon Center on the Fairmont campus.  The career fair is free to attend and open to students, alumni, and the greater Fairmont community.

Dr. Mirta Martin, Fairmont State’s 15th president, is excited to promote local employment to Fairmont State students, alumni and the community.

Tuesday Talks Series Continues This Spring

The Fairmont State University Career Development Center will continue its Tuesday Talks Series for the spring 2017 semester. The seminars were created by Director of Career Development and Civic Engagement Coordinator Amy Drvar and Career Services Counselor Meagan Gibson to help prepare students for life after graduation.

Registrations are being accepted now for employers to participate in Fairmont State University’s 2017 Career Fair.

By visiting the FSU BrickStreet Foundation Career Development Center’s web-based management system, FalconLink, employers are encouraged to register for the event to be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gym 1 of the Falcon Center on FSU’s main campus.

The workshop is open to all Fairmont State University students and will take place at 2 p.m. April 13 and 12:30 p.m. April 14 in Room 217 of the Turley Student Services Center.

The Fairmont State University Reads program is preparing for its spring 2016 reading enrichment program.

The free program available to Marion County students in kindergarten through fourth grade will begin the week of Feb. 22. The after-school program will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Mondays in Room 215 of the Turley Student Services Center on FSU’s main campus. The sessions will continue each week through April 18.
