Faculty members from Fairmont State University’s School of Education, Health and Human Performance and the Department of Athletics joined Jayenne Elementary School for its celebration of Dr. Seuss Day on March 6. The visitors read a Dr. Seuss book to a class at the school. Jayenne Elementary School is a member of the FSU Professional Development Schools Partnership. The Professional Development Schools (PDS) Partnership today includes schools in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Taylor and Wetzel counties.

 Dr. Maria Rose, Fairmont State University Interim President, and Dr. Barbara Owens, Director of the Professional Development School (PDS) Partnership, hosted a congratulatory reception to honor Gary Price, newly appointed superintendent of Marion County Schools on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Shaw House on the main FSU campus.
