The Wallman Hall stage will welcome some beloved cartoon characters in January. The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts Town & Gown Youth Company presents “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 and 22, at 2 p.m. Jan. 23 and at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27, 28 and 29.
In December 2010 in Washington, D.C, Fairmont State University students presented their research on the coal history of the town of Monongah and a proposed coal interpretive center that will explore the historical and ethnic culture and community.
The West Virginia chapter of the American Institute of Architects honored four Fairmont State University students as part of its 2010 design competition awards.
About 250 students will graduate during Winter Commencement for Fairmont State University. The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Feaster Center. A reception in the Falcon Center will immediately follow the ceremony.
During two events this fall, Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College Student Government members collected hundreds of pounds of donated goods to benefit local non-profit agencies.
