Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College students, alumni and members of the community interested in employment are invited to attend the annual Job Fair hosted by the Office of Career Services.
Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College students have a chance to compete for a cash prize as part of The African American History Bowl Team Trivia Game Show presented by BRAIN STORM! Team Trivia Challenge.
Sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Office of Student Activities, the event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in the second floor Main Street area of the Falcon Center on the shared main campus.

The event will take place from 12:30-1:30 Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Main Street area on the second floor of the Falcon Center on the shared main campus.
2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” performances at Fairmont State University. Sponsored by the new student organization V-Day Warriors, this year’s show will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 14, 15 and 16 in Colebank Gym. Admission is a suggested $5 donation. All proceeds will go to benefit HOPE, Inc. and the Marion County YWCA.
Under the direction of Grant Cooper, Artistic Director and Conductor, the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra will perform at Fairmont State University on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Containing works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Anton Bruckner, the program will feature pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine. The program will include Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467” and Bruckner’s “Symphony No. 8 in C minor.”
For the sixth consecutive year, the Fairmont State University ceramics studio through the School of Fine Arts has hosted students, faculty, staff and alumni to participate in the Empty Bowls Project, which is an international grassroots, craft-based effort to end hunger.
The Fairmont State University Acrobatics and Tumbling team is ready to hit the mat for its third season competing in the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA). The NCATA is comprised of Azusa Pacific University, Baylor University, Fairmont State, Quinnipiac University and the University of Oregon.
