Criminal Justice Students Take Statewide Honors in Competition

Fairmont State University faculty and students from the College of Liberal Arts attended the annual conference of the West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators’ Association on Nov. 3 and 4 at Wheeling Jesuit University.  Graduate student Michael Kittle placed first in the graduate paper competition for his paper titled “Cyberbullying and Social Media.” FSU’s chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, criminal justice honor society, entered two teams in the crime scene competition; 10 teams from colleges and universities throughout the state participated.  FSU’s teams placed first and third in the competition.  The winning team members were Ashley Bourbeau, Logan Markley and Heather Weldon.  The third place team members were Nicole Allison, Josh Brooks, Tyler Hawkins and Brittany Shumate.
