Visiting the University of Calabria

Fairmont State University and the University of Calabria in Southern Italy are partners in a student exchange program. Laura Bonasso of Marion County is the first FSU student to study abroad at the University of Calabria; her stay in Italy ends in May 2009. A delegation from FSU recently visited Laura in Italy and met with officials and students at the University of Calabria to promote the exchange program and to encourage students to consider coming to FSU. These photos, taken by Robin Belmear, are from the visit. “People there are wonderful,” Michael Belmear said. “I feel really good about the comfort and safety of our students who go to Italy. It was a successful trip. The students we met were thrilled about the opportunity to come to Fairmont.”
