  • Must have completed 64 hours and be accepted to the Teacher Education Program
  • Non-traditional student (any student age 23 and older)
  • Minimum cumulative 3.4 GPA
  • Financial need
  • Non-renewable
  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship or aid from the Foundation
Bobo Pallotta Endowed Scholarship
  • Students from Marion, Monongalia, Harrison, Taylor or Jackson counties
  • Enrolled in Teacher Education Program
  • Minimum 2.5 grade point average
Dorothea Poling Brand Endowment
  • Full-time student at FSU
  • Enrolled in Elementary Education
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Renewable up to four years
Will Bridges Memorial Endowed Scholarship
  • Two scholarships will be awarded each semester, one in Language and Literature and one in the School of Education
  • 2.5 GPA in high school if incoming freshman or for FSU returning student
  • West Virginia resident
  • Renewable but not guaranteed
  • Minority students encouraged to apply
  • Must demonstrate financial need

  • Graduate or Undergraduate Education Major

David and Barbara Riggleman Endowed Scholarship
  • Undergraduate students 
  • Enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Performance
  • Minimum 2.5 grade point average

  • Need Based
  • Full-time Undergraduate, WV Resident FSU sudent in Elementary Education
  • 1st preference to Marion County, 2nd preference to Wetzet, Harrison, Taylor or Preston

  • Majoring in Education

Florence Clayton Stalder Endowed Scholarship
  • Majoring in the following:
    • English with a minor in folklore studies
    • Elementary Education with minor in folklore studies

  • Minimum 2.5 grade point average
Wendell G. Hardway Award for Excellence in Teacher Education
  • Major: Education and admitted to the Teacher Education Program
  • 3.5 GPA
  • 96 hours completed
  • West Virginia resident

  • Undergraduate Education Major
The A. and L. Hawkins Graduates Student in English Award
  • Financial need is required to register in graduate program in Teacher Education with the intention of teaching at the middle or high school level

  • Preference to Marion County, West Virginia students then to other West Virginia students

Marjorie R. Hoult Lough Endowed Scholarship
  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship or aid from the Foundation
  • Full-time student
  • Four-year degree program
  • Major: Teacher Education
  • Must have a minimum cumulative 3.4 GPA
Margaret MacLuckie Scholarship
  • An undergraduate Math Education major who in the late junior/senior year decides to pursue a graduate education degree to teach math (M.A.T. program)
  • An applicant for the M.A.T. program to pursue a match certification
  • An undergraduate Elementary Education major who is seeking a match endorsement
Sharon Weaver Messmore Endowed Scholarship
  • Applicant must be a Fairmont Senior High graduate attending FSU with a sound academic record
  • Preference to an Education major, but not limited to that field
Mildred Haney Murray Endowed Scholarship
  • Major: Health or Physical Education
  • Plans to coach women's sports
  • Female athlete
    • Must meet NCAA eligibility

Pallotta Family Scholarship in Memory of James V. & Ruth Pallotta
  • Students from Marion, Monongalia, or Preston county

  • Major: elementary or science education

The Victor and Mary Carr Rancinger Endowed Scholarship
  • Full-time student
  • Elementary Education major
  • Financial need
  • Qualification or disqualification for federal financial aid shall not affect applicants for this scholarship

  • Freshman student(s) recipient must declare themselves as Elementary or Secondary Education majors and complete the necessary coursework to be accepted in the Elementary Education Program at FSU as sophomores
  • Recipient must have a minimum ACT score of 21 or a SAT equivalent of 990

  • Resident of one of the following counties:  Barbour, Fayette, Gilmer, Greenbrier, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Mineral, Nicholas, Preston, Randolph and Upshur
The Nepal Honors Scholarship
  • Nepalese origin
  • Member of the Honor's Program
  • Must declare major
  • Required to live on campus in a residence hall for the first 2 years, based on current univeristy policy
  • Freshman and Upperclass student
  • Must be used for tuition/fees/books and room/board (if on campus)
Glenn & Elsie Toothman Endowed Scholarship
  • Preference is given to incoming freshmen but upperclassmen may also apply
  • Award amount divided evenly between the School of Education and the College of Science and Technology
Helen Romano Viggiano Elementary Education Endowed Scholarship
  • Full-time student
  • Pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a lifelong commitment to classroom instruction
  • Must have entering GPA of 3.0 and is recommended to maintain same to seek renewal
  • May be eligible to renew the scholarship for a maximum of eight semesters
  • Primary, but not exclusive, consideration will be given to students with demonstrated financial need as determined by FSU Financial Aid
