The Promise Beyond Scholarship deadline has been extended to Friday, March 30, 2018, to aid students and families who have been unable to complete their application.
Additional dollars to cover your tuition/fees
Fairmont State University has expanded scholarship offerings for PROMISE Scholars in West Virginia. The PROMISE Beyond Scholarship gives high school seniors who qualify as PROMISE Scholars additional dollars to assist in covering their tuition and required fees. FSU provides many opportunities for high achieving students, from first-class student services to participating in the Honors Program to interacting with faculty who are respected experts in their fields.
To be considered for the PROMISE Beyond Scholarship you must:
Be a WV student who is a member of the class of 2018
Be a PROMISE Scholarship recipient
Complete your FSU admissions file (general application, high school transcript, test scores) by March 1st of your senior year in high school
Based upon the availability of funds, the Promise Beyond Scholarship will provide additional funding to the PROMISE Scholarship to allow the scholarship to assist in covering the tuition and required fees at Fairmont State University. First year recipients must maintain an overall GPA of a 2.75 at the end of their first year. An overall GPA of 3.0 is required for renewal during subsequent years. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be obtained in a year of enrollment for renewal. The Promise Beyond Scholarship can only be awarded up to 8 semesters.
