The Charles J. McClain Presidential Scholarship

The Charles J. McClain Presidential ScholarshipThe Charles J. McClain Presidential Scholarship is Fairmont State’s premier academic scholarship and is awarded to three of the state’s top high school seniors. Finalists not awarded a McClain Scholarship will receive alternative financial support. This competitive scholarship includes tuition and fees, room and board, and a book stipend.


PROMISE BeyondFairmont State University has expanded scholarship offerings for PROMISE Scholars in West Virginia. The PROMISE Beyond Scholarship gives high school seniors who qualify as PROMISE Scholars additional dollars to cover their full tuition. FSU provides many opportunities for high achieving students, from first-class student services to participating in the Honors Program to interacting with faculty who are respected experts in their fields.
