SciTech Open House

**The 2016 Engineering and Science Challenge date will be announced soon.**

In 2008 the College created a twist on the traditional Open House. On October 31st, the College hosted the 1st Annual Science & Engineering Challenge. Students from two local high schools participated in several hands-on challenges designed to introduce the programs offered at the College of Science & Technology. At the end of the day, the school with the most first place finishes took home the "traveling trophy'. This was a wonderful way for students to meet our faculty and get a feel for the experience offered here in the College of Science and Technology at Fairmont State University.

In 2013, the College hosted the 6th Annual Engineering and Science Challenge. Five hundred seventy-two students from fifteen different high schools participated in the day's activities. The students had the opportunity to participate in three of 19 events our faculty had planned. A short description of the activities can be found below, as well as a copy of the day's schedule. At the conclusion of the day, Paden City High School claimed the trophy and won the 2013 Engineering and Science Challenge!

Who should attend?
All high school students are welcomed, but those interested in a major offered by the College of Science and Technology will find the day most interesting. To find more about the programs and degrees offered by our college, please visit our College of Science and Technology home page.
