Curriculum Vitae: 

Kirk is a registered architect that holds NCARB certification and LEED AP BD+C accreditation.  He has degrees from Central Florida College (Building Construction Technology), Santa Fe College (Liberal Arts), University of West Florida (Sciences Interdisciplinary), and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Master of Architecture).  Kirk teaches undergraduate courses in design and building technology and a graduate course in sustainability.  His primary interest areas in architecture are sacred space and how architecture relates to and affects the environment.  Kirk enjoys being fully present with his wife and two sons.  His favorite hobbies are ultralight backpacking, bicycling, traveling and reading.  He has completed the Appalachian Trail, the Long Trail and looks forward to future adventures both in and out of the classroom.
