I received a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Georgia and a M.S. in Zoology from the University of Florida. My area of study included Vertebrate Paleontology, Ecology, and Systematics. I attended Southern Illinois University for additional graduate study in Wildlife Disease. Previous jobs include medical research at the University of Southern California, support staff in Equine Research at the University of Kentucky, and disease testing in the Georgia Department of Agriculture. I am active in the environmental community of West Virginia, primarily with the WV Environmental Council, the WV Wilderness Coalition, and the WV Sierra Club, trying to protect the natural resources of West Virginia. I have two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
