I was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on Nov. 21, 1968, and grew up on a farm in Doddridge County. I graduated from Doddridge County High School in 1987, at which time I joined the U.S. Navy. I served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. After completing my Navy obligation, I attended Fairmont State College, receiving my B.S. in chemistry in 2000. I then attended the University of Kentucky receiving my M.S. in Pharmaceutical Science. I taught physical science at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky., and now I am the general chemistry lab coordinator and in charge of coordinating instrument maintenance for the chemistry program at Fairmont State University.
I can truly say that I LOVE my job and enjoy coming to work every day. It is a blessing to work here.
