I served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. After completing my Navy obligation, I attended Fairmont State College, receiving my B.S. in chemistry in 2000. I then attended the University of Kentucky receiving my M.S. in Pharmaceutical Science. I taught physical science at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky., and now I am the general chemistry lab coordinator and in charge of coordinating instrument maintenance for the chemistry program at Fairmont State University.
