Stephanie developed an interest in chemistry during her freshman year of college and decided to obtain a chemistry education degree as well. She thoroughly enjoyed working toward these degrees in the close-knit environment of Fairmont State. In addition to her coursework, she was an active participant in the Honors Program and Kappa Delta Pi, an honorary for education majors. She worked as a math department tutor and participated in campus visitation days by performing chemistry demonstrations for prospective students. She worked closely with math and chemistry professors to help organize Project AMPLE Extended, a math/science/computer science residential summer camp for students who have just finished the seventh grade. She graduated from WVU with a master's degree in mathematics in December 2006 and is now teaching math full-time at Fairmont Senior High School.
