What is TaskStream?
TaskStream is the web-based assessment management, electronic portfolio, and outcomes-based instruction tool being used by Fairmont State University to support institutional assessment and assessment for student learning efforts.
Who uses TaskStream?
During the Fall 2014 semester, a new institutional policy is being implemented. For the first time all FSU students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff are being provided with a TaskStream account.
When will students have access to their institutional TaskStream accounts?
Student TaskStream accounts will be not be available until two weeks after classes begin during this first semester of institutional implementation. Students and faculty will receive notification and additional information about accessing and using TaskStream once the accounts are activated. Students' activated institutional TaskStream account will then be accessible when they click on the "Connect to TaskStream" link on the Blackboard homepage.
How is TaskStream being used?
Depending on course and/or program requirements, students will upload assignments, develop webpages, and build portfolios in TaskStream and submit them for assessment by faculty. Work submitted in TaskStream is archived, along with the results of assessment results for student reflection and documentation of progress toward completion of program learning outcomes.
Student work and assessment results are also analyzed by faculty to identify needs for improvement of student learning opportunities and student learning outcomes.
