I wanted a small school feel where I didn’t know many people. I attended a student exchange in high school at Fairmont Sr and really loved the area.
Were you a commuter or a resident?:
Resident. I lived on campus for a year. I had two separate apartments in town. I lived in my fraternity house for 3 semesters.

Member of Sigma Pi. Member of the IFC for a year. Played several intramural sports.
Of all the classes you took, what is the one class you would recommend everyone take? Who taught it? Why would you recommend it?:
Race, Class, and Gender I believe was the name of the class. Was taught by Dr. Hinton. To me, it was the best class to prepare people for graduation and getting into the working world. I loved the fact that it was a discussion class amongst the students where there was good open dialogue.

Dr. Gregory Hinton. He helped me shape my future and helped me grow as a man.
Share your best college memory.:
Winning the fraternity intramural softball season by going undefeated.
What do you remember most vividly from your time at Fairmont State?:
All of the great friends I made while at school. Came there knowing only a couple of people, left knowing a wonderful community.
Describe Fairmont State in three words.:
Community. Home. Inclusive.
What do you wish you had known before graduating and entering the "real world"?:
How to build a proper resume.
How did your experience at Fairmont State shape your career path?:
It gave me a good foundation of learning and helped me to develop my leadership skills.
What advice or insight do you have for Fairmont State alumni and students interested in your career field?:
You need to be passionate about helping young men or women grow in their roles. Know that there are going to be some trying times, but at the end of the day what you are doing is making a difference in these young adults' lives.
