I chose Fairmont State University because growing up in the Fairmont area I had spent a lot of time on the campus and attending sporting events. I did not want to go far away from home and the campus was the perfect size for me, especially with the average classroom size being 22 students. I was also interested in the Acrobatics and Tumbling Team and had to opportunity to be a part of the team. Fairmont State is home for me!
What is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot is the Falcon Center because you can grab a bit to eat at Chick-Fil-A or the Starbucks, hang out with friends, or even get a workout in. It is the best hang out spot on campus to meet up with friends. A lot of different activities happen in the Falcon Center!
What is your best piece of advice for prospective students?
Start your college search as early as possible! Be sure to do your research, visit campus, and ask questions. Once you arrive on campus step out of your comfort zone, try new things and join a club or organization.
Other than your major, what Fairmont State major do you find most interesting?
National Security and Intelligence is a major that I find very interesting! As one of the few institutions in the Country to offer a degree in NSI, it is very unique to Fairmont State.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
During college I worked as a student employee in the Falcon Center. I was awarded the first ever student employee of the year.
