OFFICE OF PUBLICATIONS
Supervision of student-sponsored publications is the responsibility of the Office of Student Publi- cations and Public Relations. Materials included are the student newspaper, yearbook, art and literary magazine, and other such publications for which there may be a need. In addition, this office will serve in an advisory role in the selection of format for the college catalog and supplements, faculty handbook, and various publications of the divisions, departments and units which are intended for off-campus distribution.
The Learning Resource Center Graphic Arts Designer is responsible for the design of all college publications, with the exception of the student newspaper and yearbook. The Graphic Arts Designer works with the Office of Publications to effectively combine the areas of design and format.
All publications, with the exception of the student newspaper, the college newsletter Campus Lines, yearbook, faculty handbook, college catalog and supplements, are reviewed and approved prior to printing by the Director of Public Relations and, as required, the Publications Committee. The review is intended to insure that publications contain accurate information in the overall context of college policies, regulations and procedures.
The establishment and chairing of the Publications Committee is a function of the Director of the Learning Resource Center. The Office of Publications has standing membership on the Publications Committee.
