Greek Life Governing Councils

 

InterPanhellenic Council:

Advised by the Greek Life Advisor, the InterPanhellenic Council is comprised of select representatives from each of the active fraternities and sororities on campus. The voting group is responsible for policies and decisions that affect the entire joint Greek community (men and women alike). The group is furthermore responsible for coordinating joint Greek events and programs, such as the annual Greek Week event series. The InterPanhellenic President serves for a one-year (two semester) term; the president's position is rotating in naure between a male fraternity electee and a femail sorority electee.

Women's Panhellenic Council:

Advised by the Greek Life Advisor, the Women's Panhellenic Council, under the governance of the National Panhellenic Council (NPC), is comprised of representatives from each active sorority on campus. The voting group is responsible for many of the policies, plans and fundraising efforts that affect each active sorority. The Women's Panhellenic President serves for a one-year (two semester) term; the president's position is rotating in nature (meaning that at the end of each term, the next sorority in line is permitted the position.

InterFraternity Council:

Advised by the Greek Life Advisor, the InterFraternity Counci, under the governance of the North-American InterFraternity Conference (NIC), is comprised of representatives from each active fraternity on campus. The voting group is responsible for many of the policies, plans and fundraising efforts that affect each active fraternity. The InterFraternity Council President serves for a one-year (two semester) term; the president's position is rotating in nature (meaning that at the end of each term, the next fraternity in line is permitted the position. The IFC on campus is currently semi-active and is conducting an increased number of meetings.
