VERIFYING YOUR STATUS
Before proceeding below, please log into the myCampus portal from the homepage to access the StarRez system. Within that system, please verify your current status with our Office of Housing & Residence Life. NOTE: Just because you received a Welcome Weekend invitation which included resident-specific information does not necessarily mean that your housing status has been confirmed/finalized. And, if it has not been, you will need to act right away.
NOTE for College Park Apartment residents: please proceed with RSVP-ing for Welcome Weekend below, but be aware that the Move-In details provided do not pertain to you. Move-In occurs differently at College Park Apartments - if you have not yet been notified by Housing of those specific instructions, please contact them at ResLife@fairmontstate.edu.
WELCOME WEEKEND AND THE MOVE-IN PROCESS
New Student Residence Hall Move-In, which will kick-off the broader event series called ‘Welcome Weekend’, will officially commence Friday morning, August 15th. Certain time frames are assigned to each residence hall for move-in purposes:
Bryant and Prichard Halls from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Pence and Morrow Halls from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
EXCEPTIONS: Honors Residence Students AND students attending Aug. 14th Summer Orientation - Students who belong to either of these special groups should CLICK HERE at this time to be re-routed to the RSVP page most appropriate for them. Note: if you belong to a special group other than those listed (such as Marching Band or Athletics), please simply proceed below. In your case, you have likely already been contacted about your unique move-in situation and/or have already joined us on campus.
MOVE-IN: THE DETAILS
All registrants will receive Web and postal mail confirmations, outlining details for Move-In and for the broader Welcome Weekend event. Please review that confirmation thoroughly and be sure to access the StarRez system (by logging into myCampus) one last time before departing for move-in in order to conifrm your finalized room assignment. NOTE: If you have are traveling a significant distance in order to move-in and would like to learn more about move-in alternatives, please contact us at: Retention@fairmontstate.edu.
While the move-in process is a strategic one, we will make every effort to see that it’s enjoyable too! In fact, hoards of volunteers will be on-hand Friday morning (other move-in times are an exception) to help ease the burden of toting in all your belongings. These helpful volunteers are your peers – current students who want to see that you have a great experience and transition, just like their own.
