Pandemic Influenza
Information and Resources

Events in our news such as hurricane Katrina in the not too distant past, as well as current concern over Avian Influenza in parts of our world have sparked much review and concern in Higher Education, both over the thoroughness of our planning and our ability as organizations and institutions to respond adequately in the face of these kinds of disasters.  FSU is no exception.  We are currently in the process of reviewing/revising our own Emergency Operations Plan.  As part of that review Fairmont State University is working on a component to deal with a potential Pandemic Influenza outbreak.  The goal is to prepare a plan for the institution that will enable us to respond in a timely and appropriate manner to a threat with such potentially devastating consequences, both as an individual institution and as a responsible member of the community.

We have added several links that we hope will prove helpful to you in your individual planning, and will be adding to this site as appropriate in the months to come.
