Faculty Information

Welcome Faculty

The Office of Career Services looks forward to partnering with you as we help students prepare for the next stages of their career. Our staff members assist students and alumni in a variety of areas, including exploring potential majors, resume and cover letter critiques, interview preparation, job search assistance, graduate school application and essay assistance, and other career planning questions.

Refer Your Students

Refer students who are undecided in their major to Career Services. We provide individual career counseling, and administer career assessment tests including the Strong Interest Inventory and FOCUS2 (an online career guidance program).

Classroom Presentations

Introduce your class to Career Services by scheduling a presentation with us.  We will present a workshop or speak to your class on the career- or employment-related topic of your choosing.

Mock Interviews

Mock interviews provide students with an excellent opportunity to practice and sharpen their interviewing skills. Interviews for employment opportunities and graduate school admission can be conducted and videotaped. The staff will review and critique the interview with the student. Several faculty members include this exercise as part of their curriculum each semester.

Employer Contacts

Career Services hosts recruiters from a variety of local and national employers, who come to campus to attend job fairs, hold information sessions, or meet with students in our private interview rooms. Students and alumni may view the list of companies, submit a resume, and sign up for an interview slot on our College Central system online.
