Application Process

Applicants must submit the following to the Marshall University's Admission Office:

  • Graduate Application (Marshall University Graduate School Application.)
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work sent directly from the college or university.
  • Graduate Record Examination scores if undergraduate GPA is less than 3.25.
  • Verification of current unencumbered license as RN in a US jurisdiction.
  • MSN Nursing Application

Regular Admission

For regular admission to the program, applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree with a nursing major from an accredited program. Applicants who are graduates of programs outside the accrediting jurisdiction will be evaluated on an individual basis.
  • Undergraduate course credit for basis statistics and basic research.
  • Scholastic achievement as evidenced by an overall grade point average (undergraduate/graduate and aptitude for graduate study as indicated by the Graduate Record Examination (GRE not required if undergraduate GPA is 3.25 or above). Evidence of a current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in a US jurisdiction.

Provisional Admission

An applicant may be considered for provisional admission if the Baccalaureate in Nursing degree does not meet the criteria for regular admission. Click the following link for details of Marshall University MSN Program.
