During the month of April, Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts Department of Music will be holding two Senior Recitals. On April 20, at 3:00 pm, FSU Senior Cecil Lopez, saxophone, accompanied by John Morrison, will be performing with Special Guest Elizabeth Bertovich, marimba. Cecil is a student of Mr.
The Fairmont State University Community Orchestra, Directed by Dr. Jack Ashton, will be having a concert on April 14, at 3:00 pm on the FSU Campus in the Colebank Hall Auditorium. The FSUCO will be performing the music of Beethoven, Purcell, Mendelssohn and Mozart. Guest Soloists include Kat Clift, oboe; Cheryl Melfi, clarinet; Kristen Chamberlin, horn; and Jean Preckel, bassoon. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts and the Department of Language and Literature welcome the American Shakespeare Center’s “Tempt Me Further Tour” to campus in March.

The Fairmont State University Marching Band will be performing a Stadium Review concert in the Colebank Gym on the FSU campus November 13, 2012 at 7:30 pm. The FSU Marching Band is directed by Dr. Valarie Huffman. Performance selections include Maroon & White and the FSU Alma Mater, arranged by Green, Let's Get Crazy, arranged by Barrett and Take on Me by the eighties sensation Ah-ha.
