Rainforest Adventure

Creative Drama
Ages- 3-5
June 14-16 Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Explore the sights, sounds, and movements of the rainforest with us as we create a story to tell and share with our families on Friday.


Dream Up/ Act Up
Creative Drama 

Ages: 6-8
June 19-23 Monday- Friday
Time: 1:00ppm-2:00pm

Kids are full of the most wonderful and fantastic imaginings; and this class gives them the space, freedom, and guidance bring them to life. In this class, students will play theatre and improvisation games that will hone and stretch their ability to imagine, move, and create. They will create characters they dream up themselves, build stories around these characters and then act them out. They'll also explore what happens when their character interacts with another child’s character, learning the art of collaboration and ensemble. Come see what we’ve created on our final day of class!


Elephant and Piggie: Let’s Play!
Creative Drama

Ages: 3-5
June 26-30- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Time: 2:30-3:15 (45 minutes)

We will dive into the world of Gerald the Elephant and his best friend Piggie during this class. Be prepared for plenty of pachydermal perils and swiney suspense!


Musical Theatre Camp

Broadway Babies
Ages: 5-12
June 19-23
Instructors: Leigh Anne Bolyard and Lakyn Arrick 

Join us on a fun musical theatre adventure with this 1 week camp! This class will focus on singing and acting techniques, as well as learning basic musical theatre choreography! This course will give students an understanding of the voice as applied to musical theatre. Students will work on fundamentals of healthy singing: breath support, articulation, alignment and proper placement. The students will learn and work on popular songs from Movies and Musical Theatre! Students will experience what it's like to be in and put together a musical. Students should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes to every class, and bring a snack and water for each class!

This camp will end with a final performance on Friday, June 23rd at 5:15!


Acting Camp

Act Before You Think! 
Monday July 17th and Thursday July 20th 
6th-9th graders Cost: $60 per person * Must have at least 4 people sign up to have a successful workshop *
Instructor: Loralee Simpson 

Class Description: In this 2-day workshop, you will be introduced to a systematic approach to your work through core exercises to achieve greater emotional freedom and versatility. Actors work to focus on truthful, moment-to- moment acting, creating greater emotional depth while maintaining ease and grace in performance. Much attention is given to collaboration with your scene partner, being present and in the moment, and responding truthfully to the circumstances surrounding you. By the end of day one, actors will be given scenes to learn. By day two, actors will be applying what they’ve learned to their scene work.

Wild Wednesday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Three-Step Thursday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Freaky Friday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Saturday Showdown: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

​This camp focuses on building a basic understanding for Hip-Hop and essential techniques used in Hip-Hop dance. Closed toe shoes such as sneakers and shorts/sweatpants are recommended for both male or female students.


Breakdancing Buddies 
July 17th – 21st
Instructor: Jack Thompson

Due to the physical demands of breakdancing this camp will be ages 12+.
$160 per student.
Monday Meet & Greet: This class will be used for teaching positions used for sustaining poses in breakdancing. 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Two-Step Tuesday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
The Wave Wednesday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Twirling Thursday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Freezing Friday: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

​This camp is structured to assist in building confidence in teenagers that can be used in public dancing or any other social events. Due to the physical needs of breakdancing I ask that all students wear sweat pants, form fitted T-shirt or tank top, closed toed shoes, and long hair pulled up in a pony-tail.

Basics of Dance 
August 7th-12th
Ages 5-8

Movement Monday: Monday will be used to meet the students/parents. 1:30 pm – 2:30pm
Terrific Tuesday: Students come in their favorite color shirts for dance games. 1:30pm –2:30pm
Wacky Wednesday: Students can wear costumes to class. 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Twirling Thursday: This class is will teach the children basic turns used throughout multiple dances styles while staying fun and engaging. 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Friday Fun-day: Friday will be used to make a short dance to show on Saturday. 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Saturday Show: The Show will be directly after a short class that will be open for the parents to watch. I will provide some beverages such as soda and juices. 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm

​This class is built around fun movements that use names that are easy to remember and comical for the kids. The dance attire includes any clothing that allows the student to move and dance. Music Camps

Guitar Camp for Beginners
Age Range: 9-14
July 31-August 4
Cost- $150
Instructor: Brian Wright 

Description: Designed for complete beginners, this one-week course will introduce your child to the fundamentals of guitar playing. They will learn chord shapes, strumming, left and right hand techniques, and even a few songs. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the basics of guitar playing while providing them the tools to continue their musical journey for years to come.

Required: Students must have their own guitar in good working order. Students may use either an electric or acoustic guitar, but they will need to bring a cable and an amplifier if they are playing electric. Students must also bring a tuner, a capo, a pick, and a guitar strap. PopShop Camp

PopShop Performance Camp – 

• This program is geared toward players of all ages (8-adult) and musical abilities! Students meet for group lessons to create a set of music to be performed at a public concert(s). Students meet for two hours a day (M-F) for one a week (10 hours of instruction). PopShop staff members carefully create groups based on age, ability and musical interests. Instructors provide musical instruction and impart the importance of teamwork, creative expression, and self confidence. 

* A minimum of 4 players needed to form class. Rehearsals take place at (fill in the location details - room name?) with full PA and "backlined instruments" (drums, keyboards, amplifiers, PA system, microphones) provided for students. 


Learn Music! PopShop, located in Morgantown, WV, is a non profit music academy founded with the belief that popular music styles (rock, pop, country, punk, etc.) can be a vehicle to teach traditional musical concepts. PopShop is dedicated to providing a quality music education while working to help nurture artistic and personal growth in students of all ages.

Have Fun! While music education is at the center of PopShop's mission, classes are designed for members to enjoy the learning experience! Students collaborate in order to choose the songs, and work to assemble a set of music to be presented at public concert events.

Rock Out! At the conclusion of a PopShop session, band members take to the stage for live performances to showcase each student's talent and hard work. Live performances are ofter used to help highlight other charitable causes in our community and raise funds for these same organizations. PopShop teaches that art is not only important for personal expression, but that it can be used to help others in need.
