Contemporary Fine Arts Technology

This program incorporates technology to create images for commercial purposes.  It merges traditional, contemporary, and theoretical courses in the School of fine Arts with technical courses in the School of Science and Technology.  the program culminates in a Bachelor of Science degree.

For a Bachelor of Science in Contemporary Fine Arts Technology, a minimum of 128 hours are required to graduate.

General Studies Requirements: 41-42 credit hours.

Core Requirements: 18 credit hours in Design, Drawing, E. Foundations, Painting and Sculpture.

Art History Requirements: 6 credit hours in any of the following periods: Prehistory to 1450; 1450 to 1750; 1750 to 1950; and post-1950.

Studio: 9 credit hours in printmaking and electronic media.

Graphics / Fine Arts: 31 credit hours in Graphics Communications Processes, Computer Applications to Graphics, Graphics Methods and Materials, Griphic Design, Photography Concepts, Internet Animation, Internet Publishing, Graphics Practicum and Advanced Photography.

In addition there are at least 22 credit hours of free-electives for CFAT majors.
