Lyla Grandstaff graduated from Fairmont State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After working in various capacities for FSU and sister institution, Pierpont Community & Technical College, she decided to feed her entrepreneurial spirit and open her own business. “Attending Fairmont State and then working on campus gave me the experience and confidence necessary to take a leap of faith and, for the first time, be my own boss,” Grandstaff said. Almost two years later, Elements of Etiquette is helping business professionals realize the small changes they can make to improve their first impressions and business relationships through proper business etiquette. Grandstaff has worked with several area civic organizations and was the keynote speaker for the FSU School of Business Etiquette Dinner, passing along her tips of the trade to students, faculty, staff and business leaders.
