Alicia Nieman, former student body president and mother of two, fulfilled a lifelong dream this summer to study in South Africa as the first student in recent FSU history to receive the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. She remembers the first time she realized her passion for international human rights in Dr. Greg Noone’s American Government class.
