First of May

The Italian two class has started and my brain is overwhelmed with knowledge! We had a week off of class before the second one started and in that week I feel like I lost a lot of what I had learned because I spent most of my time with Tsveta and Jessica speaking english. So now I really need to crack down and focus on conquering this language because the teacher is now only speaking in italian! It is tough!

Last Sunday was my birthday so on Saturday I had some friends over to eat cake and celebrate. It was very nice, my mom had sent decorations so the place was covered in balloons and happy birthday signs. Jessi even made me a classic birthday hat!

birthday here's a pic of me and Jessi and my crazy hat.

The next night, on my actually birthday, we went out to a mexican restaurant (why not Italian? I wanted a change of pace). It was really fun, the atmosphere was great with fun lights and cactus' with hats. The food was spicy but I really like it.

On Wednesday I got a phone call from an Italian man and it was one of my relatives, Peno, from San Giovani. when I was younger (10 years ago) he had came to the United States and I barely remember meeting him. But He called and then the next day came and picked me up at the school and I went to meet some relatives! It was alot of fun, I couldn't communicate well but it was really great to meet them. They fed me the greatest pasta! I met peno's children, Rosario and Francesca, they were so cute and nice and they had two little kittens. Peno's wife took me and the kids to her relatives restaurant to meet them and walk around the town a little. Francesca held my hand :) Then we went back home and I took a nap. Next weekend I am going back and spending the weekend with them! It should be nice!

Soon I am going to Rome! and then the traveling begins, starting with Pisa and ending in Sicily, and then back home! Right now I've gotta do some planning for Rome! I'll update you on my journey when I return.

Ciao!
