Today arrive Jessica and David from Wisconsin! They don't speak any Italian so i feel right at home with them! I finsally have friends to relate to! Also today i went to the supermarket to get shampoo, conditioner, laundry and other necessities. I went with Rosa and thought we would probably go early afternoon, but noooo she said she'd be here around 430 and got here around 5 and then we didn't end up going to the market until 730! My gosh everything is so delayed around here. it's like the later the better! Its so hard to get used to when I was raised on a schedule and doing things when i say im going to do them. I guess thats just one of the many examples of how this culture is so much different than mine. Also today i washed more clothes by hand! But David said in his apartment there is a washing machine (but no dryer) so i told him i'm going to have to borrow his washer while im here! haha!
Today was mariagrazi and mariacarmela's last exams so tonight (at midnight!) they are going out to celebrate and invited me to go along. I don't think i'll last more than an hour because i am already so tired! I can't believe people start going out so late! If i we're home, this is when i'd be coming in! But everyday i am thankful for my blinds that block the sun! I asked Rosa if they had a significant but she didnt understand why i would ask and was surprised to know that back home we don't have things like these, only curtains inside. So i guess thats another cultural (or more like architectural) difference.
Well i suppose i will get ready to go out, even though I lack the energy, i will support my roommates victory and good grades, and then hurry back home to sleep the night away!
